A Schreiber Professional (5071) bassoon available for sale w/c 15 September in very good condition.

Schreiber Professional model bassoons are great instruments to play on with a smooth sound that is easy to control, and good intonation. They are acoustically a sizeable step up from a standard student level Schreiber.

The Professional Model has long been one of Schreiber's top level models, with some nice extras like the right hand thumb rollers.

This bassoon features:

• A silky, smooth evenness of tone and a lively roundness to the sound
• Very good intonation
• Varnish in good condition
• Silver plating in good condition
• High quality features such as metal tenon rings for added strength
• An excellent level of keywork including high D key, right hand thumb whisper key lock, nine rollers including four for the right hand thumb, three trills E-F#-C#-Eb, alternate keys including F#-Bb-Ab
• Schreiber KER number 1, 2 and 3 crooks
• Schreiber hard case with case cover in good overall condition

This bassoon is currently undergoing a service and will be sold in outstanding playing condition.
