Püchner Model 21

A Püchner Model 21 bassoon for sale second hand. This is a fine quality, well balanced professional Püchner bassoon in excellent condition.

The Püchner Model 21 bassoon was equivalent to the Model 23 but with a few less keys. They are well regarded and widely played instruments of quality construction.

It is a professional instrument of outstanding flexibility, capable of playing in all kinds of musical settings with ease. If you are looking for a bassoon for life then you should strongly consider this bassoon.  

This bassoon has received a full overhaul and is sold here in outstanding playing condition. All new pads, corks and felts. All keys and the wood have been hand polished and oiled. Keywork has been adjusted and tightened and much more, ready for its new owner in great condition.

The features of this Püchner bassoon include:

• A resonant and warm classic Puchner sound for which these instruments are loved
• Good, accurate intonation
• Varnish with nice striping in good condition. Some minor dings in the surface of the varnish from use, but overall looks very nice indeed
• Nickel silver plated keywork in good condition with some minor wear
• A good level of keywork up to high D key, two trill keys, alternate Bb-Ab-F# keys, left thumb whisper key lock, useful extra roller on right thumb F# (six rollers total)
• Wing joint and both sides of the boot joint are rubber lined
• Well-matched Puchner CD2 crook
• Marcus Bonna case in good condition with backstraps
