Püchner are exquisitely made and open the door to a world of new musical colours and expression

This is a compact model low Bb contrabassoon. It has a full, resonant sound, projects effortlessly, and the intonation is precise. It has been played in a world class symphony orchestra.

It comes with a good quality compact padded gig bag.

We have serviced this contrabassoon so it is in good playing condition.

Featuring:

• Lovely, rich and warm tone. Very resonant throughout, with a wide dynamic range and easy response
• Good intonation
• Maple wood body in good condition
• Nickel plated keywork with some wear but overall looks fine
• Varnish with some wear too
• Six rollers including left hand third finger C-Eb, extra right hand Eb key, double F# keys, double Bb keys
• Tuning slide with water key, height adjustable spike
• Puchner crook/bocal in good condition
• Gig bag

Owing to the size of this instrument we are unable to ship it for trial but you can try it here and then take it for a more extended trial in person.
