Kohlert 'Penzel-Mueller'

For sale shortly, an intermediate level Kohlert bassoon. Made by Kohlert (Winnenden) and stamped by the name of the importer Muller. These are really good quality bassoons with high grade keywork, including right hand thumb rollers, high D key, left thumb whisper key lock. It plays very well indeed with excellent intonation. Moosmann later took over the Kohlert tooling and continued the tradition of good quality bassoons. This bassoon is badged Penzel-Mueller, which was an American woodwind maker who, because they did not make bassoons, imported and badged Kohlert bassoons with their own name. 

It is identical to the slightly-better-known King Symphony, also made by Kohlert.

Currently undergoing an overhaul it will be ready towards the end of July 2025.
