Fox Model III

Coming soon, a modern (2008) Fox Model III professional bassoon in great condition. The Fox Model III is made from specially formulated polypropylene plastic, which resonates in a similar way to maple wood. The Model III is acoustically based on the Fox Model II professional wooden bassoon, and accordingly has a similar fine quality sound. Like the Model II it is one of Fox's long bore design professional level bassoons, meaning it has a fractionally narrower, longer bore for greater pitch and tonal stability.

The Model III is a quality instrument sometimes overlooked in the Fox bassoon range. It brings impressive tone quality and playing characteristics like their top level professional instruments, but at a much more affordable price point.

In particular this bassoon features:

• A nice, free blowing and refined sound. Easy high notes
• The same outstanding intonation found on all professional Fox bassoons
• Polypropylene plastic body in good condition
• Silver plating in very good condition
• Good level of keywork including high D key, high E key, four rollers, alternate right hand 3rd finger Bb, alternate right hand little finger F#, alternate right hand thumb G#/Ab, C# trill, E-F# trill, right hand whisper key lock
• Fox CVX 3 crook
• Original Fox hard case with case cover in good condition
