Beautiful little copper figures of bassoon and oboe players. These are handmade by an artist locally to us and each sculpture is unique. Because they are handmade, they do vary slightly and each model is special.
From Ali the creator - 'each piece takes shape as I twist, bend, hammer, join and polish the copper, creating features that add to its unique character. It is finished with a light coating of protective wax (Renaissance Wax).
Copper is a beautiful, naturally occurring metal and its appearance changes over time and according to the environment. This is oxidation, a normal process that produces attractive deepening and variations in colour.'
