Bassoon Photography Competition 2022

We are extremely excited to launch an all-new competition for bassoonists – the Bassoon Photography Competition 2022!

In 2021 we ran a bassoon poetry contest, and were blown away by the quality and quantity of the submissions.

For the 2022 competition, just take a photograph of a bassoon, a bassoon-related scene or item, and submit it via email to jacob@doublereed.co.uk (up to five photos will be accepted per person – we will judge them all as separate entries).

Professional equipment is not required – all entries will be judged, whether taken on a camera or a phone.

Whoever takes the best photograph will win 10 free bassoon reeds!

Feel free to use DropBox, Google Drive, WeTransfer or equivalent if the files are too large for email.

The deadline for submission is Friday 30th September 2022, and there are three prizes to win:

Adults' category (18 and above):

1st prize: 10 free bassoon reeds
2nd prize: 5 free bassoon reeds
3rd prize: 3 free bassoon reeds

Children’s category (under 18s):

1st prize: 10 free bassoon reeds
2nd prize: 5 free bassoon reeds
3rd prize: 3 free bassoon reeds

The winning photographs will be published on our website and on our social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).

Rules:

- The photographs must have been taken by the person entering the competition, and they must own the full copyright. Entering the competition grants Double Reed Ltd. permission to publish the photos online and/or in print.

- For any entrants who are not over the age of 18, permission to publish must be sent in writing (via email) from a parent or guardian

- Up to five photos will be accepted per person

- Photo editing is allowed
