A bassoon made by Guntram Wolf, Kronach, after Kaspar Tauber (Hungary 1758-Vienna 1831). This instrument is ideal for playing repertoire of the classical era. It has 8 keys and plays at A=440Hz, which according to Wolf is close to the pitch of the original from which this is copied.
This bassoon was made in 2002, has clearly been played little and looked after well. It plays well in tune and has a good tone. We have fully serviced it and it is in perfect working order.
This bassoon comes in the original Wolf gig bag in good condition and with a Wolf S317 classical-design crook.
