For sale, a Vinzenz Püchner bassoon in lovely condition. This bassoon was made by Vinzenz Püchner and sold by the Karl Wunderlich company (it has both the Karl Wunderlich and Vinzenz Püchner stamps on the bell).

It is a delightfully sweet, free blowing bassoon that plays with character.

Vinzenz Püchner was the father of the well-known Josef Puchner (founder of the modern day J. Püchner bassoon manufacturing company). Vinzenz Püchner bassoons were built to a very high standard by master craftsmen out of high quality wood.

This is a first class bassoon suitable for playing at a high level, with the playing characteristics of a nice old Heckel bassoon.

This bassoon features:

  • A particularly nice, warm, sound which sings in all registers
  • Good intonation
  • Varnish in very good condition
  • A lovely piece of wood with fine grain showing through the varnish
