Descending to low Bb and with a compact body shape, the Amati ABN 36 contrabassoon is a great option for those looking for an affordable but high quality contrabassoon.
Many orchestras are short of contrabassoon players. If you own your own contrabassoon it gives you a big advantage as you can practice at home and accept gigs at short notice. Temporarily borrowing a contrabassoon for gigs isn't the same!
