We generally prefer to own the bassoons sold on our web site, as it gives us more control over pricing, repair and servicing. It also allows us to provide a warranty to our customers.

If you would like us to make you an offer for your bassoon, just ask. We will need details of the bassoon including serial number, and decent photographs.

The advantage is that you receive your money straight away with no effort on your part.

2. Sell your bassoon on commission

Depending on the bassoon and its condition, we may be prepared to sell your bassoon for a commission. Although we prefer to buy bassoons outright, we do sell for a commission on occasion and so it is often worth asking.

The disadvantage for you is that you are likely to have to pay for repairs/servicing before we put it up for sale; and you may have to wait a considerable time to receive your money, although you may receive a bit more in the end.

3. Part-exchange your bassoon
